What is C@P?
The Community Access Program (C@P) is:
A
Government of Canada initiative, administered by Industry Canada and the Office of Economic
Development.
C@P aims to:
- Provide Canadians with affordable
public access to the internet and the skills they need to use it
effectively.
- Help Canadians, wherever they live,
to take advantage of emerging opportunities in the global knowledge-based
economy.
- Use public locations, like schools,
libraries and community centres as “on ramps” to the “information highway”,
providing computer support and training.
CAP sites network through the Halifax
Regional CAP Association (HRC@P), pooling resources and forming
partnerships to be able to offer even more to their communities.
