14th Palette Art Group Details
The 14th Palette Art Group was formed in 1980. Founding members dubbed themselves the 14th Palette due to their location, which was District 14 of the Halifax Regional Municipality. From their first exhibition in 1981 at St. John's United Church Hall in Windsor Junction, the 14th Palette has truly grown, not only in membership, but also in scope, experience and talent.
Our objective is to provide the membership with an environment that will improve their painting skills. Together the group explores a wide range of styles, subjects, and mediums through workshops with accomplished artists.
Ordinarily, meetings are held in the months of January, April, June, September and November. The date, time and place of meetings are approved by the membership. Members are notified in advance of the meeting. The June meeting is the Annual Meeting and includes a social; the November meeting includes a social to celebrate Christmas. Currently, meetings are held at the Village Office, Waverley.
